Plastic injection molding is simple with the right equipment. Unfortunately, i was too busy actually building them to document them in instructables fashion. The pete plastic used in the video is more dense than water so it is not a functional lure. We hope to become a micro injection molding. Two tact switches on d11 and d12 for up/down control of the temperature set point. (if the mold in put in place while the plastic is being loaded some of the plastic will dribble out of the nozzle and clog the sprue of the mold.) then pull the lever and inject!
The passion to make all sorts of things from nothing, to create, engineer and build was always a part of me.

The main part of this stage is going to figure out how to design and build the pellet hopper, screw drive, heater and ram. I did, however, make videos of the different phases of the project. It had been months since i ran it so i made some changes to it based on what developments we have uncovered recently and the end result was pretty amazing, including big reductions in screw torque for injection and simultaneously a reduction in the required clamp force to.

The injection molding machine book may have more details (i dont know). My first attempt at injection molding with pete plastic (mountain dew bottles). Since this will require higher pressure injection, the closing mechanism will also have to be stronger. At least one temperature sensor. From what i’ve seen so far, the hobbyist and diy machines are more of a single shot system, taking a considerable amount of time to prepare the mold, fill, and then eject the part.
